Workflow

The “OPTPiX SpriteStudio”, a new version of the “SpriteStudio Professional” has entirely renewed the user interface and functionality from the “SpriteStudio Professional” series up to date. For this reason, with the “OPTPiX SpriteStudio”, the workflow (the stream of data creation)” has been greatly changed from the “SpriteStudio Professional”. In this chapter, the new workflow is discussed.

Workflow of creating the new data

The workflow of creating new data with “OPTPiX SpriteStudio” is largely divided as follows:

  1. To newly create the Project.
  2. To newly create/add the Cell Maps.
  3. To newly create/add the Cells (List).
  4. To create animations.
  5. To save data.To export animations.

Workflow of using the data of “SpriteStudio Professional”

The data format of the “OPTPiX SpriteStudio” is different from that of the traditional “SpriteStudio Professional” and cannot be read just as it is. In order to read and utilize the data of the “SpriteStudio Professional’, the following procedure must be taken.

  1. To save the “SpriteStudio Professional’s animation data” into the “ssax” format.
  2. To newly create Project.
  3. To import the data in the “ssax” format.
  4. To modify, add, delete and process data in accordance with needs.
  5. To save data.
  6. To export animations.

The procedure of creating data with the “OPTPiX SpriteStudio” is different from the traditional “SpriteStudio Professional”. The “SpriteStudio Professional” was based on the format that enabled to create the Project automatically when the content is created. On the other hand, the “OPTPiX SpriteStudio” assumes the concept that when certain data is added/created the content must be put into the Project only after having prepared the Project that stores the data. For moving from the traditional “SpriteStudio Professional”, the care must be taken so as to proceed with the work.
