The name of registries used by other applications can be found by referencing this location with the registry editor.<\/p>\n<p>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionUninstall<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 id=\"config\">EXEpress Uninstaller settings<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/settingfor-uninstaller.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-18312 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/settingfor-uninstaller.png\" alt=\"settingfor uninstaller\" width=\"251\" height=\"348\" \/><\/a> The execution settings for the uninstaller bundled with EXEpress 6 are performed in the <span class=\"ctrl\">[EXEpress Uninstaller Setting]<\/span> dialog box.<\/p>\n<p>The dialog box is displayed by clicking on the <span class=\"ctrl\">[EXEpress Uninstaller Settings]<\/span> button in the <span class=\"ctrl\">[Detailed Settings: Uninstaller]<\/span> dialog box.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tri clearfix\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/windows_exepress\/config\/uninstaller\/\">Detailed settings:Uninstaller<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>These settings are enabled only if the EXEpress <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> is to be used. These settings are disabled when no uninstaller is used or when an external uninstaller is used.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 id=\"folder\">Folder to save the uninstaller executable file<\/h3>\n<p>The <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> can be placed in a sub-folder that is created in the extraction destination. <\/p>\n<p>If left blank, the sub-folder is not created and the <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> is placed in the extraction destination.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"reglist\">Registry keys to delete when uninstalling<\/h3>\n<p>Displays a list of registry keys to be deleted in the <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a>. Deletes all entries for the specified keys.<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th>Root key<\/th>\n<td>\n<p>Specifies the type of root key to be deleted.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>Sub key<\/th>\n<td>\n<p>Specifies the sub keys to be deleted. The registry keys under the specified sub key are all deleted including the keys created by programs other than the program that was installed.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>When the root key is not \u201cHKEY_CLASSES_ROOT,\u201d the key must be specified in two or more levels, such as \u201cSoftwareEXEpress\u201d so that system essential keys are not deleted by mistake.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>Add<\/th>\n<td>\n<p>Adds the specified key to the list.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>Delete<\/th>\n<td>\n<p>Deletes the selected keys from the list.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3 id=\"signature\" class=\"mt40\">Add digital signature to uninstaller executable file<\/h3>\n<p>When \u201cAdd digital signature to <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> executable file\u201d is used, an digital signature can be added to the EXEpress <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> executable file generated in the installation folder.<\/p>\n<p>By adding an electronic signature, the electronic signature information is displayed on the confirmation screen when the user uninstalls the program and ensures the user that the <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> is authentic.<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th>Extract uninstaller executable file<\/th>\n<td>\n<p>The creator of the self-extracting executable file must add the digital signature.<\/p>\n<p>Click either the [32bit] or [64bit] button according to the program type of the self-extracting executable file, extract the executable file (*.exe) and save the file in a desired location, and add the digital signature to that file.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This function can only be used in a version of the EXEpress <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> executable file that matches the version of the EXEpress program that is running. This function cannot be used in other programs or other versions of the EXEpress <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>Specify the uninstaller executable file<\/th>\n<td>\n<p>Click on the [Browse] button and specify the <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> executable file to add the digital signature to.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>When creating the self-extracting executable file, the specified file is referenced, so do not delete or move it until the self-extracting executable file is created.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h3>Other options<\/h3>\n<p>Specifies details of the other processes that the <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> bundled with EXEpress 6 performs.<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th>Delete the .ini file with the same name as the executable file<\/th>\n<td>\n<p>When a \u201c*.ini\u201d file is created with the same name as the executable file (*.exe) extracted during installation, the \u201c*.ini\u201d file is deleted during uninstallation.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>Delete the .dat file with the same name as the executable file<\/th>\n<td>\n<p>When a \u201c*.dat\u201d file is created with the same name as the executable file (*.exe) extracted during installation, the \u201c*.dat\u201d file is deleted during uninstallation.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>If the file cannot be deleted, delete when Windows is restarted<\/th>\n<td>When this option is on, if a file cannot be deleted because it is in use during the uninstallation, the user is asked to restart Windows. Then the appropriate files are deleted during the restart process. <\/p>\n<p>When this option is off, files that cannot be deleted during the uninstallation are not deleted.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>Also target the folders that already existed before extraction for uninstallation<\/th>\n<td>When this option is on, the folders that already existed before extraction are also targeted for uninstallation (deletion). <\/p>\n<p>However, folders that are not empty are not deleted.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<blockquote><p>EXEpress 6 self-extracting programs register the files and folders created during installation. The EXEpress <a class=\"words\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/words\/#uninstaller\">uninstaller<\/a> reads this information and deletes only the registered files and folders (and the \u201c*.ini and *.dat files with the same name as the executable file specified above). <\/p>\n<p>Files and folders meeting the following criteria are not targeted for deletion. <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Files and folders created after installation. <br \/>\n&#8211; Folders that existed before installation. (Excluding the case when \u201c<a href=\"#deleteexistedfolder\">Also target the folders that existed during extraction for uninstallation<\/a>\u201d is checked) <br \/>\n&#8211; Files that already existed before installation and were not overwritten during installation.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2 id=\"option\">Uninstaller register option<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/eng_uninstall_option.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-32329 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/eng_uninstall_option_thumb.png\" alt=\"uninstaller register option\" width=\"300\" height=\"325\" \/><\/a>Advanced settings for uninstaller information to be registered in the Windows OS are performed in the <span class=\"ctrl\">[Uninstaller Registration Options] dialog box.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The dialog box is displayed by clicking on the <span class=\"ctrl\">[Other Options]<\/span> button for <span class=\"ctrl\">[Uninstaller Registration Information]<\/span> in the [Advanced Settings: Uninstaller] dialog box.<\/p>\n<p class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.webtech.co.jp\/help\/en\/exepress6\/windows_exepress\/config\/uninstaller\/\">Detailed settings:uninstaller<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"clear: both;\">\n<p>The content for settings is displayed in Windows OS after Windows 2000.
