Color Reduction with Transparent Colors
iMageStudio Color Reduction functions are also applicable for "Transparent Color", which is use for composing multiple images. In video game field "transparent color (pixel)" is used to composite multiple images on screen. The color reduction fully supports the transparent color by preserving transparent pixels during color reduction process. After the application of color reduction, the pixels specified as transparent color will stay in RGB value of the setting prior to the color reduction.

Color Reduction for Important Color Area

You can specify prominent and important areas in image. The Color Reduction Engine tries to assign more colors to the important area. For example, if you reduce colors of an image composed of a girl in front of mountain, you may specify her face and hair as important area. When you reduce colors in this configuration, more colors are allocated to her face and hair than the background mountain. You can specify any number of important areas in one image.
